It has been too long since my last culinary reconnaissance of Bandung in search of long-established eateries. Granted, it has only been a few months, but the City of Flowers is home to a variety of tantalising noodle dishes that lingers in the mind and palate long after you’ve tasted them. Here’s my list of noodle joints in Bandung that will make your taste buds go gaga.
The shop’s savoury and delicate thin noodles are perfection personified. This is the first shop that I would visit whenever I’m in town.

Mie Kocok Mang Dadeng
Specialising in the local delicacy that is Mie Kocok (noodle soup with cow’s trotters), people tend to come here for the additional beef marrow, which tends to sell out fast.
It’s noodles galore at Mie Naripan, where it serves a wide range of dishes that are made using home-made noodles. Popular not only with the locals but also with Jakartans as well.

Mie Rica Kejaksaan
A utopia for spicy food lovers, its Mie Rica Pangsit Asin (dry noodles with spicy minced pork meat and wonton soup) will have you sweating like a pig from the very first spoonful.

Rated as one of the best eateries in Bandung, Bakmi Linggarjati has been serving noodles since the 1950s. Both its Mie Yamin Asin (salty dry noodles) and Mie Yamin Manis (sweet dry noodles) are guaranteed to pamper your taste buds.
