Swiss-Belresidences: Little Chef Cooking Class

A lovely reward for the community

Swiss-Belresidences Kalibata Jakarta has come up trumps after they laid out a fun cooking activity for kids last month for the first time. Dubbed Little Chef Cooking Class, the event was held at the Tree Pit – the garden area just outside of the hotel lobby. It proved to be a smashing success, which has led to the hotel management setting up plans to organise a similar event to happen once in every three months with different themes and guest stars.
Other than being a part of the hotel’s CSR programmes, the get-together was also the result from demands made by the people within the immediate vicinity, the tenants of Woodlandpark Residence, and those from the handful of primary schools in the area.
During the one-day shindig – costing a very affordable Rp.250,000 per person – the children were briefed on how to prepare a healthy serving of Italian pizza, simple table manners, and tips on how to go on a balanced wholesome diet. There were colouring activities on offer as well, while plenty of goodie bags and certificates were given away to all the participants. A photo session with the hotel’s chefs was also organised during the bash, and parents were kept happy with a free flow of iced tea during the coffee break as they waited for their offspring.
